Description
Glutamine

Glutamine is an amino acid whose main function is to provide nutrition to gastrointestinal cells and immune cells and maintain the integrity of gastrointestinal mucosa. Glutamine is important for the production of secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA), which acts as the body’s first line of defence.

Slippery elm

Traditionally used as a demulcent to help soothe an irritated or unsettled stomach. Slippery elm works by forming a protective and healing barrier over gastrointestinal membranes which may help to reduce inflammation and repair damaged tissues.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)

May assist in rebuilding and maintaining the lining of the gastrointestinal tract and in reducing oxidative stress and inflammation that can weaken immunity. MSM has been shown to inhibit the release of inflammatory molecules involved in allergy.

Glycine

Supports healthy digestion. Insufficient glycine levels can lead to impaired digestive function, such as reduced bile acid production, which can lead to fat malabsorption and deficiencies in the fat-soluble vitamins.

Saccharomyces boulardii

Shown to be beneficial in the treatment of antibiotic-induced diarrhoea and inflammatory bowel disease in dogs. Helps to restore friendly intestinal flora and maintain gastrointestinal mucosal membrane health.

Pectin

A soluble fibre with prebiotic properties that acts as a food source to support the growth of beneficial bacteria. Pectin increases both the viscosity and volume of stool, making it beneficial in the treatment of both constipation and diarrhoea.

Vitamin C

Known anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Necessary for the growth, development and repair of all body tissues, including the proper functioning of the immune system and wound healing.

Marshmallow Root

Marshmallow root has high mucilage content and demulcent properties and has traditionally been used to help to soothe gut irritation and inflammation.

Deglycyrrhizinated licorice root (DGL)

DGL has been shown to increase the production of protective mucus in the stomach and esophagus. The flavonoids in DGL are responsible for the soothing support in rebuilding and protecting the mucosal lining of the stomach and gut.

Chamomile

Traditionally used for the relief of symptoms related to disturbance of the stomach.

Quercetin

Quercetin is a natural anti-inflammatory compound that has been shown to enhance gut barrier function by stabilising mast cells and preventing the release of histamine and other inflammatory chemicals from the cells.

Turmeric

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties that help to relieve gastrointestinal symptoms across a range of different digestive conditions.

Zinc

Zinc is known to enhance the tight junctions of the intestinal lining, helping to limit gut permeability and reduce the risk of allergies. Diminished levels of zinc often result in opportunistic infections.

Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12)

The most bioavailable, neurologically active and best-utilised form of vitamin B12. Crucial for healthy nervous system and brain function, as well as for the formation and growth of blood cells. It's also involved in intestinal health. Chronic digestive disorders increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE & STORAGE

1 scoop = approx. 3 grams

As a general guide give ½ a scoop per 10 kg body weight once daily in food, or as recommended by your animal healthcare professional.

CAT DOSING
Gut Restore is also suitable for cats.
As a general guide, give 1/4 scoop once daily in food.

Because cats can be challenging when it comes to supplements, always start with a smaller amount than recommended and build up gradually to the full dose. This will help with taste compliance; some cats may also respond well to a lower dose than stated.

Storage

Store below 30 C in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed.
Keep out of reach of children.

CAUTIONS

Theoretically, mucilaginous herbs such as slippery elm, pectin and marshmallow root may slow down the absorption of prescription medications. Separate doses by 2 hours.

Glutamine should be used with caution in animals with severe liver disease, cancer or seizure (eg, epilepsy) disorders.

Use with caution in pregnant or lactating animals as safe use in pregnant and lactating animals has not been established.

Itchy and yeasty skin … GONE!

I originally started using this product for my 11yo Weima after she had gut surgery for GDV, and it was really helping. So I thought I’d try this with my 5yo Siberian who has had allergies since her young adulthood (I’ve tried a lot of different natural remedies including CBD oil). The CBD oil made quite a difference initially, but the itching was starting to creep back in. After three months of this product (with PEA and SB probiotics), I have realised she is not itchy and yeasty anymore!!! I think you have a wonderful product, and I’m so glad that you have created a range of natural resources for our pets 🙏

Gut Restore helped my boys tummies

I have 2 beagles with very sensitive tummies & have both had repeated bouts of pancreatitis. Since using Gut restore their intestinal systems seem stronger & healthier. We’ve had one episode of bloody diarrhoea that then just got better for the first time ever. Normally that would progress to pancreatitis & a week in hospital. I’ll call that a win!
My boys have been hungrier since being on this supplement so they must be feeling better.
No more runny stools.
Their itching has vastly improved as well.

2 Frenchies with allergies and itches and licking paws.

They have been on Gut Restore for 3 months, and I have seen changes. They look forward to their breakfast and love the taste. Both are current on Apo****, and want to get them off. After reading about adding colostrum and PEA. Do they stay on restore or change to gut protect??

Highly Recommend

My 3 year old Bordoodle has had tummy issues since she was a puppy. We had it stable in the past but after we gave her a round of antibiotics, even alongside some pre and probiotics her gut had been damaged, and her liver enzymes were elevated. We tried digestive enzymes, and some other probiotics but her stools were still bad. She was diagnosed with leaky gut by a holistic vet Dr Nicole Rous who recommended Gut Restore. This product has worked wonders and it has been weeks since I have seen her have a bad stool! So thankful for this product :)
