Description

Organic psyllium husks

  • Supports dogs with variable stools (constipation or loose).

Inulin and Larch arabinogalactan

  • Fibres with potent prebiotic properties which help to support the health of the gut lining, enhance nutrient absorption and support a healthy immune system. 


DigeZyme® 

  • A unique blend of 5 specific enzymes.
  • Enhances digestion and nutrient absorption by aiding in the breakdown of carbohydrates, cellulose (plant cell walls), fats, proteins and lactose (found in dairy foods).


Lactospore® 

  • Lactospore® consists of the specific spore-forming bacteria, Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856. B. cogulans is capable of surviving a dog’s highly acidic stomach, allowing it to flourish in the intestines and work against less desirable bacterial species.
  • Formulations with LactoSpore do not require refrigeration and can be stored at room temperature.


Chamomile and Fennel

  • Herbal digestive aids traditionally used to assist in the relief of various gastrointestinal disturbances.

Organic psyllium husks
Inulin (from organic Jerusalem artichoke)
Larch arabinogalactan
DigeZyme® (consisting of alpha amylase, acid protease, cellulase, lactase, lipase)
Lactospore® (Bacillus coagulans MTCC5856)
Matricaria chamomilla (flower) ext. (Chamomile)
Foeniculum vulgare (seed) ext. (Fennel)

DIRECTIONS FOR USE & STORAGE

1 scoop = 2.5 grams

Body weight < 9 kg 10 - 24 kg 25 - 40 kg > 40 kg
Dose ½ scoop 1 scoop 2 scoops 3 scoops
Give the recommended dose once daily in food or as recommended by your animal healthcare professional. Amounts listed are a guide only.

Some dogs may need more or less than recommended for optimal outcomes. Ensure adequate water intake across the day. Start with a low dose and build up gradually.

CAT DOSING
Gut Protect is also suitable for cats.
As a general guide, give 1/4 scoop once daily in food.

Because cats can be challenging when it comes to supplements, always start with a smaller amount than recommended and build up gradually to the full dose. This will help with taste compliance; some cats may also respond well to a lower dose than stated.

Storage

Store below 25 C in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed.
Keep out of reach of children.

CAUTIONS

Psyllium should not be used for dogs with partial or complete bowel obstruction or impaction.

Use with caution in pregnant or lactating animals as safe use in pregnant and lactating animals has not been established.

great product. im a sceptic when it comes to suppliments as a whole diet is best. My 2 dogs eat raw food and have a severe chicken intolerance. after months of testing, stopping, starting and dose adjustment with weeks to acclimatise; Gut protect has stopped any issues with diarrhoea or constipation. my dogs love the taste. Im now on my 3rd tub and have every intention to keep purchasing

I have been using the gut protect on my german shepherd that had a few issues with her gut. I first used the gut repair then when the tub was finished moved to the gut protect. Both products were fantastic for my dog, i keep a tub of gut protect on hand and use it maybe twice a week just as precaution well worth a try if your dog has gut issues.

Gut protect

My dogs are doing great on Gut Protect. My only issue, and it’s very minor, is the size of the container. It is much larger than it needs to be for the quantity of product inside

Great product but a silly thing is missing.

It is a great product and has really helped my GSD settle his really finicky gut. Coming to that one silly thing is the length of the spoon that makes it super hard to get to the last bits.

Please please fix that.
